The Day Brothers (TDB LLC) combines together over 30 years of professional experience in the real estate industry covering a broad spectrum of projects including multi-use projects in dense urban settings of a downtown district, master-planned developments and public private partnerships. Representative projects of the experience of the principals of the firm include the development of the St. James Apartment Tower, a 45-story high-rise apartment building located at 700 Walnut Street adjacent to Washington Square in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, PA. This building was completed in 2004 with 307 apartments and approximately 20,000 square feet of commercial space on a one acre site. A historic bank building was located on the site and the façade was preserved as part of the overall development program and converted to a contemporary restaurant and office space. Other notable urban projects include the re-development of Onterie Center located at 441 East Erie Street in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago, Il and the Pacific Beacon residential complex located in downtown San Diego. Onterie Center is comprised of a 60-story high-rise tower including 594 apartments and an auxiliary tower with 170,000 square feet of commercial space and a 363 space parking garage and its re-positioning was completed in 2001. Pacific Beacon is part of the Naval Base in San Diego and is comprised of four 18-story buildings which form a striking addition to the San Diego skyline that house nearly 2,000 sailors and was completed in 2009. Lastly and most relevant is the 300,000 square foot multi-use project located in heart of downtown Westbrook, ME. This project combines a 70,000 square foot, 4-story hydroponic greenhouse, a 380 space municipal parking garage and 60 modern residential apartment units located on a 1.6-acre site in the center of Westbrook’s downtown central business district and is scheduled for completion in 2022.

TDB’s financial capacity to complete projects is best demonstrated by its access to the capital markets. UBS, through its affiliate, UBS Financial Services, is currently working with TDB to finance its multiuse projects. UBS is a leading global financial firm and the world’s largest wealth manager, with $2.6 trillion of invested assets and more than 68,000 employees across more than 50 countries.

Forming healthy and productive relationships with municipalities and communities is critical to successful development projects. In Westbrook, ME, TDB has formed a true public-private partnership
with the City to execute the master-plan development program.. For the City, its benefits include bringing a new business into its downtown, activating the area with new apartments, food service retail and a self-supporting parking structure that has the capacity to accommodate future development in the downtown district. For TDB, it is establishing a new business model for urban development combining modern agriculture with the essential services of housing , food service and civic infrastructure.
